Megan Gerber is the Co-Executive Director/Operations Officer at MYEP. Megan has been in her role, with MYEP, since January 2011.

Megan is a graduate of the University of Iowa. Megan has over 25+ years of experience working with persons with disabilities, starting during her college days, where she was a coach for Special Olympics, as well as a staff member of Special Population Involvement program through the Iowa City Parks and Recreation department. Prior to joining the MYEP team, Megan has held various professional roles, focusing on helping people. Megan has been a Recreational Therapist, Coordinator of Occupational Therapy and Recreational Therapy Department at a treatment facility for adolescence with mental health, behavioral and psychiatric disorders; and Service Coordinator and Director of Behavioral Services for persons with disabilities.

Megan’s passion is working with the person, and their families, to develop services that center around them, advocating for each person to live a life that breaks through barriers.

Megan resides in Iowa City. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, spoiling her 2 dogs, and is an avid Hawkeye fan!
